The Lincoln Company: Edinburgh Festival Call Out 2021

Want to show your digital work as part of the world’s largest performing arts festival?

Of course you do!

As you are likely aware, Edinburgh Festival Fringe are showcasing both live and digitally platformed events this year. In light of all the complexities still surrounding travel and live events, The Lincoln Company are looking to support LSFPA students in participating digitally in this year’s fringe.

We are now accepting proposals for digital pieces (1hr max.),  of any LSFPA discipline, to be part of our portfolio of digital work submitted to the Festival.

We are interested in:

  • Bold thinking, creativity, playfulness
  • High quality pieces
  • Work made specifically for a digital audience/platform, rather than recordings of live events.
  • Work that is already complete (due to the shortened timelines we cannot consider work in development)
  • Hearing from current students from ALL programmes, at ALL levels across the school, and LSFPA alumni who have graduated within the last 2 years

We will prioritise:

  • Original work over adaptations or already published pieces
  • Work created as part of, or as a result of, studying at LSFPA

Please read the application form very carefully.

DEADLINE: Friday 25th June 2021 by 4pm

We are happy to consider alternate forms of application, eg a video submission.

If you’d like to talk more about this please contact our General Manager Elisha via thelincolncompany@lincoln.ac.uk and we’ll be back in touch.

Please note:

  • Those who are successful in submitting their work for inclusion would be expected to act as a responsible advocate and representative of TLC and LSFPA in all matters connected to the work and Festival.
  • TLC will act as the ‘Producer’ for the works, and therefore reserves the right to make adjustments to ‘copy’, marketing materials, and credit lines as appropriate and necessary. You will of course be credited as the authors of the work whenever and wherever possible.
  • TLC/LSFPA will cover all festival registration fees, technical support, marketing, and other associated costs, and will therefore claim any box office income to recoup against this.
